Self explanatory.

So I made a main forum for your ability rules, character rules. I just placed it into it's respective forums. You had character info all over the place, and maybe you could set a more challenging ability system, because a nice story won't be enough. That's just my opinion - people need something to work for. There should be a traveling system, more factions, a custom faction creation. -rubbed her face- You have much work to do. Least the forums naturally pretty! <3

One last thing, when you make a forums, you have to set it up a certain way or the threads within the specific forum will just be jumbled around whenever someone makes a new post.

Not sure what to do for the ability system; on IMVU, all I had was people just create their own skills, with cool downs, cast times, etc. I don't want to introduce mana & health points since it'll get too messy; when people level up, I'd need to figure out the increase in HP and MP, as well as the increase in damage of a skill and the cost of casting the skill.

In the request thread, people can request a custom faction (though, they need two other people to join that faction, so in OOC people will need to contact one another). Also, you've reminded me to mention something about territory wars (e.g. two Terani factions fighting over the level 90 zone).

As for the travelling system, it'll mostly be mounts (when questing), vehicle routes which people can hop on, sky travel system, ship routes (though, people can build their own ship). Not sure if I should allow teleportation. If I do, all the travel system beside teleportation is what people would have to use to make money if they use trade and such.

I may also set up a Shop, with items that people can purchase and the amount of gold it costs. I might even, in the combat section, talk about raidings and faction war. Also, do you think I should let people be Settlers? They can request roles in the Request thread.

Well if you have people customizing their own skills and such, I guess that's fine, but they'll need to register those customs some where. For the traveling system, what I mean by that is word count. If someone is going to one region from another, you could make it 400-500 words. As for the settlers, I guess that's fine, but I don't think it would matter. You pretty much have your systems done though, prolly should edit some of em' just in case.

Better make a mission thread though, keep people busy.

I'm considering to go full on game mode and have specific classes which people request. The abilities (and their levels) would be listed. Makes it really fixed.

Not sure though. It'd take a lot of work on my part.

People shouldn't have to request, if you want a number limit, just set it up, if not, just give a listing of classes, and people can put it in their bios. Makes things runs easier for everyone, and you. Ranks like you're suggesting would be a great approach though.

What I may do is this:
It ran smooth enough when people didn't have to select from specific classes to come up with their final class (remember that by level 10, characters would have chosen 3 classes, which brings about their final class - the name will be a combination of the 3 classes or a unique one players can make). I'd want people to request this, as I did on IMVU:
E.g. Witchcraft + Occultism + Sorcery = Demonologist (So the player can take skills from those three skill trees [not all of them, since they'll have a limited amount of skills they can have overall] and their official class will be known as Demonologist, made up by Witchcraft, Occultism and Sorcery).

I want people to request this so I know they are using basic classes to create this more complex class (instead of using complex classes as basic ones, leading to this even more complicated class):
E.g. Hellfire + Death knight + Crusader = ____________ (Dunno what the final combo will be).

As for ranks, I'll simply say up to level 10, players can have 5 skills; up to level 30, players can have 10 skills, etc, etc.

You can avoid all of that by making a complex system, that talks about every last one of the abilities, ranks or w.e; o-o it's going to save you the headache, we don't know how massive your forum will be. You need to make the combination system about the classes and just go into detail about it based on the information you've given everyone, they can take that guide and apply it to their bios. Since this is a forum you don't need to be monitoring every little thing to see what's right or wrong, just make clear systems people can follow.

Trust me, nothing will be out of line either, or making you frown.

I keep receiving a message that says new members can't post extended links for seven days. Can you guys fix that so I can post more? It's messing up just about everything I try to say by locking me out of replies.
